Have you ever heard about face mapping? It’s a way to read your breakouts or acne to find the cause of it.

According to The Beauty Gypsy the different zones means different things.
  • 1-2 Digestive system: Eat less junk food and drink more water.
  • 3: Liver: Less alcohol or you might be allergie to something.
  • 4-5 Kidneys: Dehydration.
  • 6 Heart: Blood pressure, get more fresh air and cut down on meat.
  • 7-8 Kidneys: Drink more water.
  • 9-10 Respiratory system: Cut down on sugar and cigarets.
  • 11-12 Hormones: Stress and hormonal changes, get some sleep and drink more water.
  • 13 Stomach: Eat more fibre.
  • 14 Illness: Your body might be fighting bacteria so drink a lot of water.

According to Lauren Conrads book Beauty the zones are a bit different so here they comes.
  • Forehead: Stress or sleep deprivation.
  • Above the brows: The immune system, breakouts appear before, after or during a cold.
  • Between the brows: Cut down on sugar and alcohol.

  • Side of the chins (11-12): Hormones, maybe it’s time for the periode.

Beauty of couture

The big couture shows are now done and that’s why I wanted to find some of the best looks from the catwalk. When it comes to couture shows the makeup is almost always over the top and it becomes art to take inspiration from. You could find black eyes with small details like green liner of jewelry. At Christian Dior’s show it was all about the lips covered in tiny stones. You could also find some more natural looks with a lot of contouring from the cheeks to the eyes!

5 hair trends!

Today I found some of the Spring Summer 2013 hairstyles. You could spot all kinds of hairstyles on the catwalk. Waves at Stella McCartney and Roberto Cavalli. Fun knots and twist at Chanel and Chloe also side fringes were to be found at Chloe, Valentino and Marni. Marc Jacobs kept it in the Sixties with side fringes too and some teasing. The centre parting could be found at Chanel and Jil Sanders.

Beauty 2013

Yesterday I looked at the fashion trends for spring summer 2013. Today I wanted to take a look at the makeup trends.

At Dior, Donna Karan, Chanel, Versace, Gucci etc. it was all about the eyes. Bright colors and a lot of eyeshadow.

The perfect skin was this seasons minimalism. Contouring and highlight was the key here.

Making the lower lashline stand out was used at Lanvin, Phillip Lim and Stella McCartney. I personally really like this trend!

At Marc Jacobs it was all about the Sixties. Filled-in brows and a little cat eye flick.

At Burberry’s you could find bright lips, but bright matte lips.

New Years Mani

Now I made my New Years mani. The theme was black and silver and I think my makeup is going to be something like that too. Unfortunately my black nail polish was old and really really thick! I managed to cover my nails completely but I couldn't get the nice sharp edge along my cuticles but when it's dark no one will notice it.

Christmas Mani

I finally made my christmas mani. Maybe it could have been a bit more fun and festive, but I kind of like the simple red and white. I tried to make some snowflakes, but it didn't turn out that good so i just ended up make some dots with a tooth stick.

Fashion Books

If you don't know what to wish for this Christmas, then you should definitely check some of these books out. You could get some good reading to relax with in the days between Christmas and New Years. There are so many good fashion books on amazon and here are some of them that I want.
I already read Lauren Conrad's style book and it was really good, so now I really need to read the beauty book. But you could also relax with Kate: The Kate Moss Book, Vogue the covers or Vogue: The Editor's eye.

Christmas mani

I'm looking forward to Christmas so much! I found some really cute Christmas nail arts on Pose (Pose is this nice app for Android and Iphone where you share everything fashion). When we get to December 1st i'm going to try one of these out, maybe only the one with the dots cause I don't think I can make the other decoration as good.

How to clean your makeup brushes

It’s important to clean your brushes. You should probably do it once a week but I only do once a month. Your brushes have a lot of bacteria on them from your skin and it can lead to bad skin!

When you clean your brushes make sure to keep the bristles facing down and don’t get water over the silver line cause you don’t want water down to the glue and destroy your brushes. When they dry you should always remember that they have to lay down flat so the water don’t run down to the glue. The best way to dry your brushes is to have air on all sides of the bristles so it won’t get a bad smell from lying in water.

Wash the bristles in some kind of soap but be careful with shampoo because it often has so kind of hair protection that can make your bristles less soft.
If you have some brushes with lipstick, gel liner or cream blush on them, you can clean them with some oil on a napkin and then clean them with soap afterwards.

Lancome mascaras

I really love Lancome's mascaras. I tried about 5 different types of there mascaras. Here are the different between the ones I tried at least what I think is the different.
  • Lancome Definicils gives length and separates the lashes.
  • Lancome hypnose gives volume and some length but not as much as Definicils.
  • Lancome Vistuôse gives some length and some volume it's kind of a mix between the two first
  • Lancome Hypnose Drama is my favorite without a question! You get so much volume and length and it almost gives the effect of false lashes.
  • I also tried one with some gold glitter in it, but you can't really use it without a black mascara under, cause the volume and length isn't that much.

Next time I will try the Hypnose Star just look how beautiful the packing is!

Have you tried any Lancome mascaras and do you have a favorite?

Lauren Conrad books

Have any of you guys read Lauren Conrad's books? I really liked them, I read all the L.A. Candy books and the books in the Starstruck series. I also read her Style book and now I only need to read her beauty book. They are a really good combination of drama, fashion and easy evening reads. If you havn't read any of them yet you should give them a try! I had never seen The Hills when I started reading them and it was so fun to see The Hills after, because you knew how things was behind the cameras.

Eyeliner

Today I wanted to talk about the difference between some of the eyeliners you can find on the market. It can be hard to choose the right one and know what the difference are.

The kohl liner is the most simple one and almost everyone own one. You usually use it on waterline, but it can also be used all the way around the eyes, and it’s a good liner if you want to smudge the liner to get a more smokey effect. But it can be hard to get an accurate line.

The gel liner is the one you would typical choose to make a line on top of the eye as close to the lashes as possible, it’s also a soft line and is good to an everyday look cause it is soft and easy to put on with an angled or pointed brush. If you like to use false lashes this eyeliner also makes a good start and it’s waterproof.

The liquid liner is the hardest eyeliner to master. It’s hard to make a straight line and get all the way down between the lashes. But if you can master this liner you can get a really beautiful and hard black line for a night out!

The penultimate liner is a really good mix between the different liners. It can be used both day and night, it gives almost the same look as the liquid liner but it’s easier to put on! The only thing you should think about with this liner is that it can’t be used on your waterline cause it’s like a pen and it’s not good with water.

You can buy all the liners on mac.com

Brush holder

Here is a quick tip on how you can storage your brushes. I have mine in a pencil holder, and then I filled it with small plastic balls from a craft store. If you want to be more creative you could paint your holder with some transparant glue and then put on some glitter to give it a more festive, fun and girly look.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 kisses

Picture from here
I'm in love with these lipsticks/lipgloss' buy Kate Moss for Rimmel! I think they are so easy to put on, they are natural on the lips and moisturizes them so well. If you haven't tried them you should definitely check them out, cause they are worth a try.
